Below are some of the parallel development which keeps on happening as a part of R&D and open source contribution. Some of the development also to be refined and further develop for market launch in coming future.
The AirOwl is the latest air-quality assessment device designed by OIZOM Instruments under the initiative by IODA which is based on the principle of DIY (Do-It-Yourself). The device is required to be assembled by the user and registered onto an open-data platform. The idea is to encourage people in addressing the situation of bad air-quality by voluntarily contributing their data to the world. The vision behind this approach is to offer people access to the air-quality data of 1000+ locations across Delhi through which they can properly assess the situation and formulate effective community driven actions to address the situation in a holistic manner. AirOwl is the smallest size air-quality assessment device which can be used both indoor and outdoor and offers data on dust level SPM 2.5 and 10 along with humidity and temperature for air-quality assessment. It has been designed for the people to be a part of this revolutionary moment. People from different places can setup the device and contribute the data to the community and help in creating a hub for open-source knowledge and various other tools for necessary action.
Breath-i Pro is a wall-mounted air quality monitor for home, office and industrial application. Breath-i Pro is designed to measure every possible air-pollutant with high-accuracy.
Breath-i Pocket is a personal air quality monitor to be used on the go. Its design, size and features allow a user to use the product easily as per the convenience. The product has LED indication for quick view of Comfort-level, Dust-level and Hazard-level. For better usability, BREATH-i Pocket has 3 product variants i.e. USB Powered (for work-desk usage), AC Supply Powered (for in-room usage) and Car-Powered (for in Car Usage). The product is bluetooth enabled to connect with a personal device and transmit data to the cloud.
Polludrone mobile is designed to capture air quality data from moving vehicle. The same hardware from Polludrone V2 is used where device enclosure is strategically worked out to cut wind distraction. The firmware was customised to take reading considering GPS location of the vehicle. The device will start giving data whenever the vehicle will stop. This will also cut the vibration noise of the vehicle and wind effect. The experiment was carried out on two uber in Delhi. The map will show the vehicle route and the node points with time and air quality data.
AirCube is the latest invention by OIZOM Instruments in collaboration with IODA. It is by far the most stable and accurate device to assess the air quality parameters for both indoor and outdoor air. Unlike AirOwl which is based on DIY (Do-It-Yourself) design, AirCube is an assembled air-quality monitor based on plug-and-play principle. The issue of air quality is now visible to every person residing in different parts of India. However, people are puzzled because they do not know the gravity of the situation due to lack of proper measuring tools. Through AirCube every minute, every hourly wise change in the air quality can be easily accessed and recorded to decode the existing trend and take up necessary steps at both household and community level to ensure proper air quality management for overall betterment of health.
Highly Portable Since AirCube is in a shape of a small square box, it can be carried and placed easily in any part of the house both indoors and outdoors.
Plug and Play The device comes assembled. It does not require any setup or calibration. The user simply has to power the device and leave it to operate all by itself. Simple!
Accurate Real-Time Data Since the sensors are well protected by the enclosed structural box, no additional factor can cause disturbance in the dust quality readings, making the data highly accurate for the user.
Advance Visualization The air quality data is accessible to the users on their respective smartphones through well designed and simple to understand visualization themes. The data is not just of a particular location but can also be compared with the data of the central agencies and other air quality devices.
AirCube, the air quality monitoring device has the following dimensions:
Length: 2.75 inches (7 cm) Breath: 2.75 inches (7 cm) Width: 2.75 inches (7 cm) Since it is in a small, box like design, it can be easily placed in any part of the house.
